The Stars got a massive 3 points in week 8 and took the 2019 California Cup against rival Gold Coast FC. The win gives the club a 6 point cushion over the nearest competitor for 4th place in the BSL table. Angel Town also saw a great performance without getting a single score from Vela and Rossi. The club lost the lead late and for a while looked like it would have to settle for yet another draw, but pulled out the winner late to get the win.
